Starting a poorly funded woman-owned business from the floor of a living room, during a down economy seemed like a perfectly reasonable thing for a new mother to do. It was Valentine's Day 2008 in Windermere, Florida when Paula Wyatt began a super-simple party planning company, now celebrating "A Great-8 Years" of creating impactful events and image building experiences for many high profile Central Florida business and community leaders. She took the anniversary as an opportunity to form the Community Advisory Panel, a distinguished list of community influencers who provide inspiration and guidance in development of community events and projects, and to launch a new division: Orlando Golf Tournament where her team provides full service golf tournament planning and marketing services.
She never misses a chance to offer interesting insights into the world of event planning, social media and public relations, having served as a guest lecturer at UCF, Full Sail University, UCF Rosen School of Hospitality Management and Rollins College of Women's Studies, as well as speaking engagements with groups such as NACE (National Association of Catering and Events) and CFHLA (Central Florida Hotel and Lodging Association).
Paula wore the title of Ms. Windermere as a contestant in the Ms. Corporate America Pageant in 2012 and enjoys being a part of SAK IMPROV Comedy Lab. She was a finalist in the Biz Bash Reader's Choice Award for Best Social Event Planner of the Year. She was nominated for Orlando's 40 Under 40, Women to Watch, Women Who Mean Business, as well as the Girl Scout's Women of Distinction Award.
Prior to starting her own business in 2008, she was in corporate marketing with Bright House Networks where she worked with event promoters to execute live nationally televised Pay-Per-View events and managed a full calendar of Central Florida festivals and events. She worked strategically with television networks in supporting their brands in the Orlando market among them: The Disney Channel, Discovery Channel, Food Network, HBO, Showtime, Playboy Network, National Geographic and Fine Living.
